Had so much fun today making these magical things for etsy.
As my first magic teapot sold the same afternoon as I listed it,
I was in the right mood to make some more;-)

Had so much fun making mandrake's for my witch house, that I also made some for etsy.

Made this for etsy today.
It started out with my first attempt to make hands from
polymer clay and this one turned out real good,
so I thought it would be a shame not to use him in some way.
And then my twisted brain came up with this LOL.
I think it would look great in a Anatomy lesson-
or CSI scene, or perhaps as part of a mortuary/morgue.

Mushrooms on etsy

I finished my fairy mushrooms and are listing them on etsy right...now;-)

D.I.Y. Tip

I got these old knives, spoon and forks at a yard sale for allmost nothing,

spent 5 minutes sawing and now I have a box full of jars and vases,
ready to be painted,aged, stained or what ever I want to do with it.
So don't throw your old knives, forks and spoons out yet.

Today I made a little side-table. I probably will be putting it in or outside my witch house.

Loose ends and new stuff

I don't like loose ends, they get stuck in the back off my head end prevent me from fully going on with what I want to do, So...

Here's the old couch I was working on, in a previous post about me tidy'ing up my workspace. It has long been finished, but never shown here later.
Well here he is:

Then the Christmasbox of which I promised pictures. I did not make everything I wanted, but because Christmas was long gone, and I wasn't in the mood for Christmas things anymore, I put it away with the other Christmas decorations. I'll be working on it next Christmas again, but here is what I have so far:

I'm now working at my witch house for most of the time, but every now and then I'll show you something different, just because I was in the mood for it, or because I made something new for my etsy store.

The left picture is a photo I once found on the internet long before I wanted to make a witch house and even longer before I had this blog. I had absolutely no idea anymore where it came from, but Linda informed me that it was from Julie Lawton from Cottage Kitty Miniatures,
Thanks Linda and thank you Julie for inspiring me to make my own. (The pot shown on the right.) It will be standing outside the door of my witch house to welcome guests and customers.

I'm happy to say, that I did finish my Christmas box in time.
I did not have time to show it here yet, but I'll give you an update very soon.
(that is when I get good light and enough time to take pictures)
So I ended my miniature-year well;-)

And I started 2011 with listing some new items in my etsy shop.

They are only 2cm/0.8inches high.

Some new stuff for Etsy

Today I finished some new things for my Etsy shop.
My brother made me two little bookcases and one off them
I filled with all sorts off things someone would need
to collect and study mushrooms.
It took me some time but I'm quite happy with how it looks now.
I also made a mushroom potion prepboard and a little mushroom
recipy-writing board.
I will be listing them on Etsy this afternoon.

Christmas box and Welcome

Still a lot to do, but you can see were it's going;-)

Welcome and Christmasbox update

Today I finished the floor of the Christmas box that i'm making.

First I used my multi-tool to engrave floorboards.

While I was at it, I killed a Flower Fairy in the process;-)
I really wanted him to be a "Santa's little helper",
but they don't have wings, now do they?
So I engraved them off and sanded his back with my multi-tool
and painted the white spots to match his shirt.
I think he's very proud of himself now;-)

Then I aged the floorboards with "Patina".


After that I painted the whole Christmas box for the last time and when it's dry, I can finally put up the wallpaper and start decorating;
my favorite part;-)
I already aged the cupboard I had, because it was way to shiny
and put some things in it.
