I bought this wonderful "Twelfth scale Ladies Boudoir Chiffonier"

from INSOMESMALLWAYMINIS on etsy a while ago.
Tomorrow morning my friend is coming over to my place and
we are going to work with polymer clay.
She is going to make fruit and I am going to make all
sorts of chocolate's to fill this beautiful chiffonier with.

I'm also going to work on a new Chocolat shop.

Yesterday I read on Weronica's blog from Crazy4Mini's that she has

Another cupboard ready

Today I filled a beautiful aged cupboard with al kinds of collectors
items that I've been working on for weeks.

I put a lot of time in making everything. There are two jars of worms,
a glass jar with magical beans in it, a candle, books and scrolls,
letters and note's, mushrooms and potionbottle's, ect. etc.
Well, see for your self;

Witchy wardrobe

This morning I finished a wonderful witchy wardrobe.

I love how it turned out!
I love the purple fabric with the white spiderwebs and black spiders,
I made a cape and hat with it for this wardrobe.
I made some dragon eggs in a matching purple polymer clay.
And I added one of the brooms with a face that I had made earlyer
and also there had to be a carnivorous plant in it of course;-)
After that it took me a while to get the photo's right,
I wanted to wait until the light was good and the purple came out nicely.
And this is the final result, see for yourself:

Well, I'm back. Not with miniatures to show yet, but just a quick update;-)

The surgery my son Tom had, went very well,
and he has already started to go to school again.

Just a quick note to say that I won't be here for a while.

I am very busy getting ready for my first fair!
27th of november at Assen,
finishing all kinds of little things I want to take with me,
wrapping and storing miniatures to go etc.

And on top of that we just heard that my son Tom
needs to go into surgery on wednesday 23th.
He was born with a cleft (11 years ago) and already had two surgery's,
and this time they are going to take some bone from his hip
and put it in his jaw and close the last piece that is still open.

We knew it had to happen any day now, but did they have to pick the 23th?
Hopefully he will be home the 26th though!
But I'm struggeling to get my head around two of these
emotional things going on at the same time,
so decided to at least give myself a break from posting here.

Back again;-)
After I sent the give-away's I had a lovely holiday week with my family.
I did take my polymer clay with me, so I could make some miniatures,
knowing there was an oven in the house we went to.
In between the chatting, swimming, reading and doing absolutely
nothing, I made some wonderful items.
(My brother also gave it a go and made a beautiful Ent,
that I will show in a later post)
I made potionbottle's and dragon eggs to take to the fair nov.27th.

And when I came home I finally finished my mandrake table:

I still think it is a bit to neat and empty, but what do you think?

I started to make things for the fair in november.
I've been browsing pictures on my computer for a few days to come up with some nice ideas. Then I got the wood, lots of it;-) What am I making?

I'm going to attend my first Dollhouse Miniature Fair as a seller!
It's Noverber 27th at Assen, a brand new location. Look how well suited:

And I'm só só excited!!!
Looking forward to it, can absolutely see myself selling stuff there;-)

Last saturday there was a contest on Het Poppenhuiskladblog.
Nella, (her dolls are getting famous here in The Netherlands, be sure to have a look at what she sells!) who also made my little Jan Klaassen doll, made two lovely little dolls and if you guessed their names correctly you could win them.
After a lot of puzzling I guessed the name of one of the dolls.
Her name was Pink Carmendina. And Yesterday she arrived savely in the mail:

I didn't do much on my witch house lately.
I've been working on a commission for etsy, for which I had to make

Stable

It's my little girls Birthday today and she loves horses.
So last week I made her this stable. It is in 1:6 (playscale?) scale and she can play with it, with her barbie dolls. She absolutely loved it ;-)

Well my witch has her fire. So she can now use her fireplace.

You can't see it in the pictures but it realy flickers, looks so cozy!

Witch moved in

Today my Witch moved into her witch house.
She arrived in a very good mood...

even had some fresh picked mushrooms with her,
that she wanted to cook for diner.

But that all changed as soon as she entered the door...

What??? How can I live here? It's not finished, it's empty!

Where can I sleep, where do I brew my potions and prepare my ointments?

Where do I leave all my stuff and my plants that arrive next week?

No, she was not pleased!!!
I'm afraid I got myself a very demanding witch.
Well, perhaps that's a good thing, maybe I need some one to push me every now and then to finish something, in this case; a witch house.
She told me that she wanted a fire first thing, because a witch needs her fire to brew stuff, so I'm off to go make a fire now;-)

Yesterday I made two cauldrons from polymer clay and filled them with a creepy witches brew of tiny bones, eyeballs and...well...you don't wanna know what else ;-)

And today I'm working on a witchdoll. My witchhouse has been standing empty and still unfinished, but I bought a (very cheap) witch doll and I'm transforming her today so that she's ready to move into my witch house.

Dragon table

Remember the sneek peak a little while ago?

Well I finished what I was working on.
It's a Dragon scene table, with all kinds of dragon collectables, including a dragon skull that I made from polymer clay. Lots of books, a land map, a tiny pouch with dragon teeth, etc, and... a real baby dragon in a cage. I made it to sell, although i'll probably have trouble parting with it

A Little break

Just a short note to say that I won't be here for a couple of days.
I need to have another surgery on my right hand.
I'm still in pain every day and can't close my hand, so now by removing the tiny plate that was put in before, the docters hope that it will get better. Well I hope so too;-)
But that means no mini's for at least a week or two. I hope to see I have reached a hundred followers when I get back and will be able to start again with a nice give-away;-)

A few months ago, I started to work on a witch house,
as you can read in a previous post.
Since then I've made a ton of witchy miniatures for it and even some furniture, but didn't do very much on the house itself.
I'm (a bit of;-) a perfectionist and the picture in my head of how something should look, is always far better then I can make my projects to look in reality, so I've delayed and delayed starting to work on the house,
beïng afraid to ruin it.
But now I really need shelves, walls and floors to put things on, so...
No more delay...I started with the floor;

On the right there will be a pottery section, so a 'stone' floor is put in, the left side of the house will become the living area and will get a woodboard floor. Will do that next.

I don't like loose ends, they get stuck in the back off my head end prevent me from fully going on with what I want to do, So...

Here's the old couch I was working on, in a previous post about me tidy'ing up my workspace. It has long been finished, but never shown here later.

I did not make everything I wanted, but because Christmas was long gone, and I wasn't in the mood for Christmas things anymore, I put it away with the other Christmas decorations. Today I finished some new things for my Etsy shop.
My brother made me two little bookcases and one off them
I filled with all sorts off things someone would need
to collect and study mushrooms.
It took me some time but I'm quite happy with how it looks now.
I also made a mushroom potion prepboard and a little mushroom
recipy-writing board.

Welcome and Christmasbox update

Today I finished the floor of the Christmas box that i'm making.

First I used my multi-tool to engrave floorboards.

While I was at it, I killed a Flower Fairy in the process;-)
I really wanted him to be a "Santa's little helper",
but they don't have wings, now do they?
So I engraved them off and sanded his back with my multi-tool
and painted the white spots to match his shirt.
I think he's very proud of himself now;-)

Then I aged the floorboards with "Patina".

After that I painted the whole Christmas box for the last time and when it's dry, I can finally put up the wallpaper and start decorating;
my favorite part;-)
I already aged the cupboard I had, because it was way to shiny
and put some things in it.

Mushrooms

Yesterday I finished some mushrooms. I had made the stems a while ago; they were my first try and a little bit bigger then I wanted. But because I used glow-in-the-dark polymer clay for them, I thought it was a waste to throw them away. So yesterday I decided I would simply make some larger hats for them, a bit fairytale like, so I made them of purple polymer clay and gave them a metalic shiny gloss. The "largest" one is 2,5cm/1 inch. It took me quite some time but they turned out really well, I think;-)

Wow, I'm a little speechless right now.
Two days ago I opened my own Etsy store.
I thought I would give it a try. This morning I listed this wonderful
Mushroom prepboard that I made

and what do you think...I already sold it!!
To someone in the U.S. My miniatures are going around the world,
can you believe it? I'm so excited;-)

Witchy things

Managed to make some witch books and (glow in the dark)
mushrooms for my witch house today.

The mushrooms are 2,5cm/1 inch high including the pot.

The biggest book is allmost 3cm/1,1 inch tall
and I used a real feather (from my fathers chickens)
which I cut into shape, for the pen in the inkpot.

Made some witchy miniatures and painted the Christmasbox on the outside this afternoon. Also made two working lights. The top one was made of an acorn cap. The other one of a button and an old plastic tube.

Christmasbox update

Went shopping last week and bought some wonderfull (wall)paper for my christmas box.

Painted the lid and the stove pipe.

Now first have to make the floor before I can put in the wallpaper.

Last summer I was in the park with my sister and our children. On the way back we walked on the path that was intended for mopeds and bicycle's because that was easyer for the babypram.
And then my little daughter did a creepy find. On the pad there were several miniature frogs; flattened by the mopeds and dried by the sun. My sister was feeling sick to her stomach but I couldn't resist; I had to have some. I picked up two (now wish I had been braver and taken more;-) and brought them home with me. They have been in a jar on my shelf the whole time, but as I decided I would make a witchhouse I rembered them again. So now the one on the right is going to be framed and hung on the mantelpiece and the one on the left I am willing to swap. (he is approximately 2 inches long) So who wants to swap with me for something witchy for my witchhouse? Just let me know!

What am I working on

I thought I'de give you an update on what I'm currently working on.

When I got the miniature virus a few years ago, I started project after project because I really liked everything I saw. But most off them are now collecting dust standing unfinished in my workroom. But I used the last few weeks very well and organized everything. Made a (way too long;-) list of what I now like and still want to make, put all remaining U.F.O's away for later and selected two items to finish.

The first is a Christmas hatbox.

Our carpenter (we own a Multimate; DIY/construction store;-) made this wonderful box for me

and I allready collected and made some Christmas things

My brother helped me make a new pipe for the stove, that I have to paint now.
Still a lot to do, but it's not Christmas yet, so maybe I'll be able to finish something in time for once;-)

The second project is gonna take a lot longer and will be a witch house. Hugely inspired by several blogs with witchy things and houses, I decided that the greenhouse, I had for a while but didn't realy like, will do perfectly for that. I removed all the plants and table's that were in it and it will now become the house of Mandolyn Fairlady, a very nice witch who loves to help people with her homemade potions, ointments and tea's for which she grows all sorts of mysterious plants.

The fireplace (almost ready) was made by my brother whom I accidentally infected with the miniature virus. He is now making a tudor house from scratch for himself. If you're interested you can watch it overhere: Geje.punt.nl Even though he does not have much free time, he likes to come over and help me with making miniatures every now and then.

Don't let it BUG you!

Today I heard that I will probably need another surgery on my hand that was broken, because it's not heeling well. The latest x-ray showed that one screw had moved and the bone was not growing right. Tomorrow I have to go to the hospital and then i'll know more. Not a fun day!

Two weeks ago I hosted a dinnerparty at my home.
It was a lovely evening and I took several pictures. One of the lady's had never seen my miniatures and she was amazed by the whole concept of miniaturizing things from everyday life. She didn't think it was possible to make a miniature photo album, so I promised her I would make her one. For the occasion I used the photo's of the dinner of course;-)
